The new and improved website went live this morning! 

It's fun, energetic and has lots of hot, juicy color to showcase my photos. The site is much easier to navigate and has a lot of new features that makes it the coolest site EVER! It has a ton of new images, music that I love, and private online proofing galleries for clients to view and share all of the best images from their photo session with me.

That's right! I have been hard at work designing a brand new website that will have a new look and tons of new features. 

Since the new website will be constantly updated showcasing new work that I have created, I wanted to archive some of my past weddings on the blog. So take a walk down memory lane and check out the posts below.

Alex and Brian - Wedding - Melissa McKinnon Photography

Alex and Brian are two of my favourite people in the world. They are genuine, open hearted and most of all they are so in love with each other that it is inspiring. Since photographing their gorgeous wedding, my husband and I have had the opportunity to get to know them and develop a great friendship... so much so, that they were even ushers at OUR wedding! 

Congratulations again and thank you for your growing friendship! 

Alex is a talented artist and an accomplished dancer. I thought it was fitting for her to wear ballet inspired flats on her wedding day!

Alex's mom, Nolly, helping her tie up the back of her custom designed dress. Nolly's mom is a talented dress designer and hand made this incredible dress for Alex. I was lucky enough to have Nolly custom make my wedding dress as well. Gracias por todo, Nolly!!!

Last minute preparations before heading off to the ceremony. Notice Guillermo, Alex's younger brother in the background playing his guitar. Later on in the night he surprised Alex and Brian by serenading them at the reception with a love song written just for them! It was so beautiful, I had to hold back tears as I was shooting.

Their gorgeous ceremony held at the Bow Valley Christian Church here in Calgary, Alberta.

Alex and Brian wanted to go to Prince's Island Park to take pictures after the ceremony. They used to come here often for romantic dates while they were dating and they wanted to capture some of the special memories that the park holds for them.

Tracey and Steve - Wedding - Melissa McKinnon Photography

Tracey and Steve's wedding was a small intimate gathering at the Glencoe Golf and Country Club here in Calgary, Alberta. The golf course was a gorgeous location for their outdoor wedding and reception. We had a ton of fun riding golf carts around in search of cool and interesting locations. Check some of the photographs from their wedding below!

 Their outdoor ceremony was beautiful. I think this series says it all... pure wedded bliss!

Tracey and Steve had one of the most attractive bridal parties I've ever photographed. You guys look amazing!
